Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase, in saleable condition with all tags and hygiene stickers attached, unworn, unwashed, unaltered and undamaged.
Free exchange — we cover postage (Australian orders). Swap size or style.

Full price items
Free exchanges (Australian orders): We cover the cost of postage for size or style exchanges. We'll hold your desired size for 14 days — please return the original item within that time. You'll receive a new tracking number once your exchange is dispatched.
Refunds: You cover the cost of return postage. Refunds are processed to your original payment method once we receive the item. Please allow up to 20 days for the parcel to reach us during busy periods.
Afterpay refunds: Refunds processed through Afterpay will incur a 6% fee.
Store credit: Issued as a digital gift card with no expiry, usable across multiple transactions.
Discount codes 15% or less are treated under full price terms.
Item unavailable: On the rare occasion an item sells out after you've ordered, we'll notify you by email and offer a replacement or refund.
International orders: You cover postage both ways for all international returns and exchanges.
Sale items
Exchanges: You cover all postage costs both ways. Select your desired size in the returns portal and we'll hold it for 14 days. If your desired size sells out, you'll be offered store credit.
Store credit: 100% store credit issued as a digital gift card with no expiry.
No refunds on sale items. Sale prices are as marked and not available in conjunction with any other offer, discount or bundle.
Discount codes over 15% are treated under sale terms unless otherwise stated at time of purchase.
Sold out after purchase: During busy sale periods, high demand can occasionally mean an item sells out while multiple customers are checking out at the same time. If this happens we'll automatically process a refund for that item and notify you by email. The rest of your order will be dispatched as normal.
International orders: You cover postage both ways.
Final sale items
Items marked Final Sale — including Outlet, Archive and Bargain Bin — are not eligible for return, exchange or store credit unless deemed faulty.
Faulty items: Submit via the returns portal with a photo and we'll assess and arrange a replacement.
Good to know
Faulty items: Made to play and designed to last. If you find a fault, submit via the returns portal with a photo and we'll sort it. Please wash worn items before returning for hygiene reasons.
Mystery bundles: Not eligible for return or exchange unless faulty.
Item unavailable: On the rare occasion an item sells out after purchase, we'll notify you by email and offer a replacement or full refund.
Stockist purchases: Items bought from The Iconic, Swimwear Galore or independent stores are subject to their returns policies. We can only accept returns for items purchased via milkyclothing.com.au.
Gift vouchers: Cannot be exchanged for cash. No expiry. Can be used across multiple transactions. Excluded from all sales.
How do I start a return or exchange?
Head to our returns portal and follow the steps. It's fully automated and takes a few minutes. If you run into any issues email us at support@milkyclothing.com.au.
How long do I have to return or exchange an item?
All returns and exchanges must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. Items must be in saleable condition with all tags and hygiene stickers attached, unworn, unwashed and unaltered.
I used a discount code — am I eligible for a refund?
If your discount code was 15% or less, full price terms apply — you're eligible for a refund, free exchange or store credit. If your discount code was over 15%, sale terms apply — you're eligible for an exchange or 100% store credit, but not a refund.
How long does a refund take to process?
Once we receive your return we'll process it as quickly as possible. Please allow up to 20 days for parcels to reach us during busy periods. Funds are returned to your original payment method. Afterpay refunds incur a 6% fee.
How is store credit issued and does it expire?
Store credit is issued as a digital gift card sent to your email. It never expires and can be used across multiple transactions until the balance reaches zero.
Can I exchange for a different style, not just a size?
Yes — on full price items you can exchange for a different style. If the new item is more expensive you'll be prompted to pay the difference. If it's less expensive you'll receive store credit for the remaining amount. Sale item exchanges are for size only.
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
For full price exchanges (Australian orders) we cover postage — it's completely free. For full price returns (refunds) you cover the cost of return postage. For sale item exchanges you cover postage both ways.
My item arrived faulty — what do I do?
We're so sorry — that's not what we're about. Head to the returns portal, select faulty item and upload a photo. We'll assess it and arrange a replacement as quickly as possible.
I'm an international customer — what are my options?
International customers are welcome to return or exchange full price items within 30 days. You'll need to cover all postage costs both ways. Items must be unworn, unwashed and in saleable condition.
What is a Final Sale item?
Final Sale items are clearly marked at the time of purchase. This includes items in our Outlet, Archive and Bargain Bin sections. These items are not eligible for return, exchange or store credit unless they arrive faulty.
